The Stories She Told
I was young, and so was she, at one time,
long ago.
The stories she told…
of best friends, and boyfriends,
of all sisters, and later, a brother.
her memories are now a part of mine.
the stories she told…
of drag races, and country drives,
of fast rivers, and serene mountains.
her memories are now a part of mine.
the stories she told…
of playful pets, and dangerous encounters,
of joyful tears, and sad moments.
her memories are now a part of mine.
forever…my mother,
the stories she told…
I add these, to the stories I tell.
